Kristin Fisher has joined CNN in July 2021, as the station's Space and Defense Correspondent. As the Space and Defence Correspondent at CNN, she has for covering all aspects of space, from NASA and the newly formed Space Force up until commercial space-related companies and the growth and advent in space travel. Being the daughter of two NASA astronauts, Kristin grew up in the industry of space. She was a part of the space industry for five years, reporting on the Biden and Trump Administration's space policies as an White House Correspondent for FOX News. Also, she covered the presidential election in 2020 and the efforts of two administrations in fighting the coronavirus. Kristin travelled frequently, and both with the president and vice-president. She even went on a top-secret trip to Afghanistan along with Donald Trump. Before becoming a part of the company in the year 2015, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up through local TV news markets in Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she won one Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin's skills as a camerawoman helped her establish Field Mouse Films which specialized in making documentaries for clients of corporate nature, including Uber Hotels and Resorts as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelor of Science Diploma in Journalism from Boston University. Kristin lives with husband, daughter, and her 3-year-old daughter in Washington, D.C.
